Kids Modern

A big thanks to Kids Modern, we had a fun and fruitful day at the design show at Dulwich College yesterday.

There were some really innovative designs, especially the punch’n'cuddle dolls, it was brilliant watching the little ones rush in and immediately pounce on this mad weeble like object (www.punchncuddle.com). We were really impressed with the ‘billy rocker’ stall too, partly because he was pretty much running a shop come nursery but mainly because of the brilliant product. A simple flat pack three piece rocking horse, constructed of cardboard, so you can create your own rocking horse, monster, scribble, anything goes and all for £28 (www.mr-kaliski.com). We bought one for little Wilf, though he’ll probably just want to eat it at the moment.

Clever girl

I’ve been wanting to shout about these for ages, long before we even had a website and a blog.

These beautiful brooches were hand made by Jane Smallcombe and each one is unique. I have a collection of about ten that get regular outings and she does other accessories too. I love the colour combinations, feels like being a kid in a sweet shop!
