Living Etc…
Delighted to have our Type Map featured in Living Etc’s christmas gift guide (even though it feels way too early to be thinking about pressies!).

I like the humorous and innovative ideas that are coming out of the Konstantin Slawinski design group. Designers often favour the austere, so it it great to see classic designs that combine a bit of wit – the ‘Mother in law’ cake mould is a winner.
Well done to Sue and Sara who opened their interiors and gift shop ‘Alphabet Soup’ in Great Missenden at the beginning of the month – we’re delighted to have our work included in the launch collection.

There were countless goodies at the Paris show, yet more objects for the christmas list…
Beautiful colours and simplicity in Mud Australia’s ceramic collection
And delightful containers by Vincent Van Duysen for aptly named ‘When objects work‘
Time for the wooly pants. Dutch boutique Psikhouvanjou sell brilliant handmade objects for kids and also stock our prints. I’m particularly into their wooly goods, just wish my Dutch was a bit more fluent so I could have a proper nosey on their website.
Proof that it is ‘how you tell ‘em’, this (slightly naughty) joke from Clement Freud is perfection.
I’m not knocking the Brits obsession with DIY, but Portugal was refreshing, things are ramshackle and the people seem more interested in relaxing than plastering.

We’ve been pals for over thirty years and miraculously these two managed to get pregnant within two weeks of each other. I’ve been hassling them for a photo opportunity for months and they finally relented. I’m going to nail my colours to the mast and predict a girl for Laura (left) and boy for Ysella (right), more reliable forecasts and name suggestions are welcome.

Hello, we’re taking our summer break this week. A bit late I know but we’re hoping Portugal will be sunny for us and if it isn’t we’ll hang out eating seafood and dreaming up new ideas for the 2010 collection. We’ll be back in the studio on Tuesday 13th October, so any orders will be dispatched promptly on our return.
In the meantime, thanks to Grand Designs for giving us a shout in their November Issue, my Mum rang me on her way back from WH Smiths yesterday, cheers for your scanning skills Mum.

Funny boys, this one in particular is guaranteed to reduce me to tears!
