Work

We’re on the look out for a brilliant Studio Assistant, the position is part-time five days a week. Essentially we’d like an extra pair of hands to help with the day-to-day ‘office’ side of things. We don’t expect you to create artworks or have screen printing expertise, that bit is happily taken care of by Jane and David but we would like someone who:

- can handle our screen prints with love and care whilst packaging them up for our customers
- is upbeat and happy to chat to our customers and answer e-mail enquiries
- is organised and has some accounting/office experience
- has proficient computer skills
- has an interest in culture, design and press/blogs
- is happy to roll up their sleeves and muck in
- won’t faint at the thought of making the tea and sorting the recycling

We’re a small company with two Creative Directors and a Studio Manager. This role will be assisting and supporting the team and over time would bring individual responsibilities too.

We’d like someone asap for this part-time position which is based in Hitchin. We’re happy to discuss salary when we find the right person. Please send a brief covering e-mail explaining why you’re the right person for the job along with your CV to sarah@boldandnoble.com. The deadline for applications 3rd April 2011.

Bold & Noble gives back

You’ll be pleased to hear that we are sharing the love and have donated a share of our 2010 profits to Children in Need, Prostate UK, a Postnatal illness support charity, plus we plan to support a local homeless charity called the Hitchin Sanctuary with some of their education and life skills initiatives in the summer. In the lead up to last Christmas we were also asked to take part in the Mary Portas Living and Giving shop in aid of Save the Children, we were delighted to donate thirty prints to sell in their new Primrose Hill shop. At the risk of sounding like an oscar speech, this was only possible because of our lovely, loyal customers – so thank you, you know who you are!

Happy holidays!

Time to don the slippers and stop thinking about ink for a few weeks. The studio will be closed from 11am on 24th December until 4th January, so any new orders will be dispatched when we return. We wish you all a lovely, fun, festive time – happy holidays!

Christmas deliveries

Royal Mail’s last posting date for first class UK deliveries is Tuesday 21st December, so please place any order by 11am on that day. We can also send your prints on a next day special delivery service up until 11am on 23rd December. Please get in touch at hello@boldandnoble.com if you would like to use this service and we can discuss the options with you. In the meantime, enjoy the snow!
