Happy new year

Thanks for the crazy Christmas rush – we’ve cracked open the Cadburys Roses and have just packed the final orders before we put our feet up for the holidays.
Our studio will be closed from 14.30 on 23rd December until 3rd January, when the next orders will be dispatched. Lots of love and good wishes in the meantime!
Book covers at Bold & Noble
Six years ago after having worked as a book cover designer at Harper Collins and Hodder & Stoughton I decided to become a freelance designer. It’s been a hugely enjoyable time and over the last three years I’ve worked on projects for both DesignedbyDavid and Bold & Noble.
We’ve now decided to move the book cover side of the business over to the Bold & Noble Studio section, here you’ll find selected cover designs as well as commissions for a wider range of clients. I’ll still be working in exactly the same way and you can download a pdf of recent publishing projects on the site. Thanks for all the commissions over the last six years.

… I’d want to raise my young here. These elegant, spherical nesting places are beautiful and practical. I’m just picking out some top buys from our friends at the online boutique Caroline McGrath, they have some wonderful titbits for christmas gifts! Think the soldier egg cup is very cute too, plastic soldiers protect the egg from the greedy bread soldiers – great idea!
We’ve made it to Holland
Some news from Holland… another little Bold & Noble outpost has been established. ShakShuka is a new online ‘eco boutique for baby, child and mama’ and they have some really fun and stylish things. My top picks would have to be the Guerra Sneakers (shame they don’t do it in a six) or the leopard print tights (below) which will be available in their new fall/winter collection.
