It’s been a long time in the making, but the World type map is finally complete. The print is twice the size of our usual prints at 100 cm x 70 cm and comes in a choice of three colours – a new reflex blue, warm grey plus the ever popular sheer slate. All are carefully wrapped in tissue and delivered in robust tubes – the perfect gift for globe trotters…
After a huge number of requests we are delighted to announce the launch of our New York City and Africa Type Maps. We have printed them in sheer slate and duck egg blue and as our other Type Maps, they measure 50 x 70 cm so fit nicely in standard frames. We are donating 50% of this years profits from the Africa Map to the Somalian relief fund.
We love a wedding and were very touched when a friend found our Type Map being used as the happy couple’s table plan on the Rock n Roll bride blog (brill website if you’re planning nuptials yourself). Each table was assigned a town and address labels showed where their guests would be sat. All the best to Jo & Olga, great wedding snaps!
We’ve responded to your requests and added even more countries to our popular type map collection – with Canada, France, Italy and Ireland. It is a slow process, a map a month, all that fiddling with type line by line and cross referencing against google maps, but we got there in the end . They’ll be available to buy from our shop in the coming weeks, we’ll send out an e-newsletter the minute they hit the shelves.
Whilst working on the last map, the Japan tsunami struck. We felt compelled to do something to raise funds and have created a Japan type map in response. We’re unsure whether a roman alphabet map will be popular, but we’re going to give it a shot. Half of the 2011 profits from the sale of the Japan map will go directly to the charities providing relief in this area.

Our free special edition print is ready – hot off the press! We’ll be giving away this one-off A4 design with every order from now until 24th December. Exciting, huh?
